There are plenty of tutorial for glasses case but very few for the kids glasses case. I have prepared a tutorial for the kids sunglasses case with free pattern which is at the end of this post.
The tutorial is super easy and beginners’ friendly. If your kids want to sew the glass case by themselves for themselves, this is the perfect sewing tutorial for them.
Following are the steps I have followed.
1- Cut 1 fabric and 1 polyester sheet to the pattern.
2-Quilt the polyester and fabric together using quilting guide tool or use ruler to make out the lines before quilting. It will give a very nice and neat look.
(You can also cut the fabric after quilting, just make sure to cut the fabric and polyester 1 inch bigger from all sides for quilting)
3- Cut a contrasting lining fabric to pattern. (Make sure to cut it in the mirrored position to that of main fabric.
4- Place them wrong side up and pin them, sew with 1cm seam allowance, leaving a 2 inch gap at bottom unstitched.
5- Turn the fabric to good side, top stitch the bottom.
6- fold over and sew the glasses case.
And we are done.
