DIY Crossbody Bag
Share
Crossbody bags are best for carrying around. They are perfect for any sort of outing. Shopping, dinner or simple vacations you name it.
That’s why you will find a lot of tutorials for crossbody bags on my studio, crossbody bags or side shoulder sling bags are my personal favorite as well.
The crossbody bag I have made in this tutorial is made from polyester canvas. Both outside and lining materials are of the same polyester canvas fabric. I have fused the lining fabrics with lightweight fusible interfacing. For outside bag, I have quilted the fabric with polyester sheet.
There are two pockets on the inside, a slip pocket and a zipper pocket. Slip pocket covers the whole width of the bag and zipper pocket is 2cm short on both sides.
The zip I have used on the inside pocket is in nylon zipper no 3.
The main zipper is brass zip no 5. The D-rings used as Strap holders are 2cm wide.
All the accessories are gold in color.
Final size of the bag is
- Height: 21cm
- Width: 29cm
- Depth: 8cm
To make the bag you will need following fabric with measurements.
- Inside
- Inner slip pocket: 30cm x 34.5cm
- Inside zip pocket: 28cm x 24.5cm
- Zip: 24cm
- Gusset Bottom: 52cm x 11cm
- Zip sides: 42cm x 5.5cm
