DIY Toddler Backpack

Mini backpack are a great way for toddlers and kids to keep their belongings and stuff organized and right by themselves.

Toddlers backpack need to be practical, spacious and easy to operate and use. This is exactly what this backpack is. Easy to use with sufficient space for kids to keep their belongings in.

The backpack has one main zipper compartment and an outside snap pocket as well. The patterns has adjustable straps to adjust to the size of the child.

The fabric I have used to make the backpack is polyester canvas. You can use any other fabric of your choice, however if you want to sew it with same fabric and are new with canvas here are some tips on sewing with canvas at this link: https://crafthike.com/my-blog/tips-on-sewing-with-canvas/

The final size of the backpack is:

• Height: 8″
• Length: 7.5″
• Width: 3″

• Webbing:
  • Back Straps: 32cm (x2)
  • D ring Straps: 4cm (x2)
  • Handle Strap: 15cm
• Main body:
  • Cut to template
  • 2 for outer body and 2 for inner lining
• Pocket:
  • Flap: Cut to template
  • Pocket body: 12cm x 17cm
• Gusset:
  • 31.5cm x 4.5cm (2 main fabric and 2 lining fabric)
• Lower Body:
  • 41.5cm x 10cm (1 main fabric and 1 lining fabric)
• Zipper: 30cm
• D rings: 2
