DIY Zipper Pouch with a Wristlet

DIY Zipper Pouch with a Wristlet

A wristlet pouch is a convenient way to carry a pouch. The pouch that I have shown in this tutorial is spacious enough to carry your cosmetic essentials while travelling. The size if also compact enough to carry it in your tote or slightly large handbag. The method I use to turn any pouch into any wristlet is very simple. Juts add a D ring to the side of the pouch and add a key fob with a lobster hook. You can learn how to make a key fob here at my YouTube tutorials. It is one of the very easy tutorial I have made for you all.

The final size of the finished pouch is:

  • Height: 12cm
  • Length: 20cm
  • Depth: 6cm

You can view some pictures of the quilted zipper pouch wristlet below:

The fabric I have used to sew and craft the quilted pouch is polyester canvas. I have quilted the pouch with a layer of polyester sheet beneath the main canvas fabric and you learn how I quilted exactly as in the tutorial at the video here.

I have fuses my lining fabric with the dotted fusible fabric as well. That step however is completely optional.

To make the quilted pouch I have used:

  • 20cm x 33cm (4 fabric, 2 for main and 2 for lining)
  • 20cm x 33cm polyester sheet
  • 34 cm long zipper
  • D ring
  • D ring fabric 5cm x 8cm

You can learn how to make the quilted zipper pouch step by step from my YouTube tutorial that I am linking below:
