Transformation of an old wooden box to a storage box
I transformed this more than 30 years old wooden box into a storage box my kids. Kept the colors bright and lively and at the same time kept the box simple.
I used:
- Diamond paints Super Emulsion in shades
- Royal Blue
- Lemon
Tools that I used:
- Narrow straight brush for corners
- Flat brush for applying primer and varnish
- Roller brush for painting main areas
Steps I followed:
- Sand down the whole box
- Fill in holes using wall putty
- Sand own again
- Prime the box using gesso
- Paint two coats of blue paint
- Paint two coats of yellow paint
- Apply varnish
- Screw in tyres, hinges and handle
