Wooden Table Painting with Acrylics- A step by step guide

I created a table out of a wood plank for my kid. It’s a multi purpose play table for exploring with colors, sand and dough without the worry of making a mess.

In this tutorial I will take you along a step by step guide on how I painted the table and gave it a vibrant and uplifting look. Paints I used are all acrylics and the brushes and more details can be viewed below

Happy crafting ^_^

A step by step guide:

Step 1: Sand the raw wood

Use 100 grit sand paper and smooth out the edges
Clean the wood and the area you want to paint with damp cloth Seal the raw wood with Mod Podge or any other sealer I used these sponge brushes
Prime the wood using a primer. I used Gesso bby Sakura Acrylic Color I used this brush to apply gesso
Apply two coats (Wait for the first coat to dry up completely before applying second) Mask the area you don’t want your paint to go I applied two coats of Prussian Blue for side support
Used this brush to paint inside the corners Used the small sized roller brush to paint the rest
Remove Masking tape Apply Orange Yellow Acrylics paint as a base coat
Then apply 2 coats of Vermillion Remove the masking take when completely dry Apply Varnish
